Barista Cafe, Marine Drive

This is one of the posters i saw in Barista Cafe. Luckily i didn’t have to change my religion as the Cafe resembled the Caribous, Starbucks and Second Cups to a certain extent.

Barista Cafe is located in Bay Pride Mall, which is in Marine Drive, Kochi. It’s one of the hangout places for the dudes and gals!!

We ordered a Butterscotch Frapuchino, Orange Slush and Strawberry Smoothie for drinks and ordered Smoked Chicken and Grilled  Chicken sandwiches. The entire order turned out to be good, but the Frapuchino and the Smoked Chicken Sandwich were the stand outs.

  It’s mambazhakaalam(mango season) in God’s own country. Mango trees are getting rare these days in the cities due to urbanization, but it’s a great sight to see the mangoes hanging on the branches either singly 0r in bunches in the remaining few mango trees around my place.

We are yet to visit the Kochi Mango Exhibition, which boasts of 120 varieties of mangoes on display.Varieties of mangoes have landed from Maharashtra, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh,Tamil Nadu and other parts of Kerala, thanks to the Vegetable and Fruit Promotion Council Of Kerala (VFPCK) .The mango festival ends on April 28, till then it’s going to be mambazhakaalam…..

Down the memory lane…

  A couple of days back, I passed by my school. It has changed a lot from our times. It was a very nostalgic feeling when i was walking through the grounds, the very same ground where we used to have a whale of a time during the lunch breaks and sports sessions. Unfortunately the school is closed so I won’t be able to meet a few of the remaining staff from our days.
